Good news for Pakistani pilgrims! The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that an additional 5,000 pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj under the official scheme.
Applications for these extra spots will be accepted starting next week. So far, 81,500 Hajj applications have been received, and the remaining quota of 5,000 will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
No balloting system will be used for new applications, making it easier for pilgrims to secure their spots. Additionally, a proposal to set a 5-day window for receiving Hajj applications is being considered.
