Full Job Description of Tractor Operators

The Illawarra Mercury Company in Australia accounced two opportunities for experienced Tractor Operators to join our Open Spaces team, based at our Services Depot in Oak Flats. One position is for a Boom Arm Tractor Operator, and the other is for a General Tractor Operator. If you’re experienced with wide area mowing attachments, boom slashers, and other tractor implements, we want to hear from you. In these roles, you’ll use your expertise to maintain sports fields, parks, and roadsides, ensuring our community spaces are well maintained. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously but also enjoy collaborating with a supportive and inclusive team. Tractor Operatorswill be responsible for:

  • Equipment Operation: Safely handle tractors and attachments for vegetation/grounds maintenance.
  • Site Maintenance: Ensure parks, fields, and roadside areas are well-presented and functional.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize tasks.
  • Compliance: Follow WHS guidelines and council procedures.

What are we looking for Tractor Operators:
