Kangana Ranaut Shares Her Most Significant Career Misstep

Kangana Ranaut has made some shocking confessions about her directorial debut film, Emergency. In a recent interview, she admitted that releasing the film in theaters was a “wrong decision” and that opting for an online platform would have been a better choice.

The film, which stars Kangana as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, faced significant delays in obtaining approval from the Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC). Kangana expressed concerns that the CBFC’s censorship would lead to deletions or modifications to the film’s content. She believes that releasing the film on an OTT platform would have avoided these issues altogether.

Kangana also reflected on her decision to direct the film, saying that she took some things for granted, assuming that the release would be smoother during the Bharatiya Janata Party government. However, she now acknowledges that she made mistakes at various levels, including directing the film.

Despite her disappointment, Kangana had to rework some scenes based on the Censor Board’s directions. However, she claims that the deleted content was factual and supported by evidence.
