Full Job Description of Cook

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cook to join our culinary team in a full-time, on-site position. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cooking and committed to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment. The successful candidate will have a solid background in preparing diverse dishes, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.

Cook will be responsible for:

  • Plan menus and estimate food quantities and needs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual menu items
  • Inspect kitchen and food preparation areas for safety and cleanliness
  • Train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and hygiene
  • Order ingredients, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and keep records of supplies and stock
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen

What are we looking for Cook:

  • Secondary school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant cooking experience.

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain – training support available)
  • Willing to relocate (relocation costs covered by employer)
  • Must work on-site – remote work not available
  • Public transportation access available
